Startup Weekend Ann Arbor + Nudge

Ann Arbor Startup Weekend was a blast! The combination of business gurus and geeks meant plenty of brilliant ideas to go around. 34 pitches turned into 11 new businesses, all in just 54 hours. Amazing? I'd say so...

After ideas were pitched, individuals were free to roam around, ask questions, and decide on which concept they had interest in developing. Groups were compiled and we got the lawyer! Team #9 eventually became what is now Nudge.




Nudge is a text message reminder service. Businesses will be able to input contact information and send reminders via text with appointment details and a number to call for clients who can't make it. A friendly nudge will save you time and decrease missed appointments.

The expertise of group members ranged from development and coding to marketing and management. All 13 of us collaborated as if we were born to. As John so nicely put, "the whole weekend was spent fleshing out this idea, coming up with a marketing/business plan, building the application, and branding the whole thing."

The end result: (we absolutely rock) and we have a business with testing in the beta stage. Nudge is scheduled to launch publicly this summer! And lastly, a partial group photo and our "humble beginning!"
